Carmelite Sisters is a religious order that takes care of children, youth, and seniors. The recently built facility is for independent ambulatory female adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Their goal was for the residents to feel cozy and at home in their new building. They wanted a high-end look while incorporating warm colors and comfortable furniture.
What We Did
EBI reviewed base finishes suggested by Groth Design and then developed a visual representation that could parallel the Carmelite Sisters’ concept. The furniture, fabrics, accessories, artwork, even sheets and blankets, were chosen to reflect the comfort of being in one’s own home. We chose signage that would direct guests into the different spaces while fitting into the rooms without looking out of place. There was not a detail missed with the project.
The Carmelite Sisters are enjoying the finished product. They are grateful for EBI mimicking the look they were wanting to achieve for their future residents.
