In the fall of 2020 the MSOE dining facility project combined form and function in a unique design that encourages collaboration, comfort, and personal space. The open air concept provides natural light that embodies health and wellness. The contemporary feel is warm and welcoming.

The Outcome

The goal was to attract new higher education talent — both students and administration. The inviting space encourages students and staff to eat on campus. The space is multipurpose: there are gaming, lounge, and dining spaces throughout in varied postures. It’s a space that encourages relaxation, study, socializing, and appetite.

The institution was looking for a modern approach to the traditional cafeteria/meeting spaces of yesterday, incorporating multiple textures, colors, and seating options. The result is a beautiful, comfortable area enjoyed by many.
